Twelve days after starting to create this site, and I’ve got a short blurb on the about page finally. I like writing, but not about me as a human personally, so that one I kept putting off. It still needs more, but at least it isn’t a “coming soon” page.
Right now, this website functions solely as a blog roll, and I’m not sure how I’ll feel about that in the long run. I’d like to get static pages set to each series, and I keep thinking about creating those, but I really just need to focus and keep writing.
Archridge Academy was supposed to be a quick little backstory series, going through the boys’ years at school. I was like, 50k per year? No problem. Well, I’m in year three now, with 240k total shared, more written, and I’m not even halfway through the year. That’s 90k more than my goal. I haven’t even gotten to any of the big reveals yet, which is the whole reason I wanted to share it.
Sometimes I wonder if I’m allowing myself to be distracted from working on the second book of the Rust Prophecies series. They’re separate, stand alone series, as far as I’m concerned, but they’re the same characters. The stuff that happened in the past affects the future. I want to finish the Sons of E’din series before I write book 2, because the reveals are spoiled if you read Rust Prophecies book 2 before SoE.
I guess I shouldn’t dwell on whether I’m doing it right or not. I should just keep writing. That’s the only way any of it will get done.
